External Validation Milestones

Tracking ledger for the non-automatable traction milestones defined in organvm-v-logos/.github#7.

ORGAN-V is the Logos organ — it works in the open and keeps an honest account of what exists. This directory is that honest account for the three external validation milestones. These milestones cannot be manufactured by automation or by the creator. They require real, independent, external participation. Nothing here is marked complete on the basis of fabricated or self-generated evidence.

The three milestones

# Milestone Target Status Ledger
1 Collect ≥ 3 substantive pieces of external feedback 2026-05-05 ⏳ Pending — 0 / 3 feedback-ledger.md
2 Host ≥ 1 community event with non-creator participants 2026-05-05 ⏳ Pending — 0 / 1 events-ledger.md
3 Record ≥ 1 revenue-related event 2026-05-05 ⏳ Pending — 0 / 1 revenue-ledger.md

Original deadline (2026-05-05) elapsed without completion. The milestones remain open because each depends on external actors the system does not control. This ledger keeps them visible and makes capturing the next real event a one-line append rather than a research task.

What counts (acceptance criteria)

These definitions exist so that a milestone is marked complete only when it is genuinely met — and so a reviewer can verify each entry against an external, linkable source.

1. Substantive external feedback (need 3)

A piece of feedback qualifies when all of the following hold:

Stars, follows, anonymous traffic, and reactions are engagement, not feedback. They belong in analytics-engine, not here.

2. Community event with non-creator participants (need 1)

An event qualifies when all of the following hold:

Eligible formats: a GitHub Discussions AMA / office-hours thread, a live essay discussion, a reading-group session, a Space/stream, a workshop. See events-ledger.md for the hosting playbook.

A revenue event qualifies when it is a real economic transaction or commitment from an external party, with a verifiable record (receipt, invoice, payout notification, signed agreement, sponsorship confirmation). Examples consistent with the system’s existing offerings:

A pledge with a confirmation artifact counts; a hypothetical or an internal transfer does not. Record amount, date, source, and evidence pointer (never secrets or full PII) in revenue-ledger.md.

How an external actor contributes

How a maintainer records a milestone

  1. Confirm the entry meets the acceptance criteria above.
  2. Append a row to the relevant ledger with a verifiable evidence pointer.
  3. Update the counter in this README’s status table.
  4. When a counter reaches its target, flip its status to ✅ and link the completing entries.
  5. When all three are met, close #7 citing the ledgers.
